Easy Friendsgiving party games for large groups: icebreakers, trivia with answers, a gratitude game and a cozy coloring corner with a free printable.
Games that work for a crowd
Friendsgiving brings together people who might not know each other. The best games are quick to explain, need no special supplies, and work for 6 or 26 guests.
Icebreakers
- Name that dish: each guest describes their dish in three words, and others guess what it is.
- Thankful bingo: make 3×3 cards with squares like "is thankful for a pet" or "traveled this year." Guests mingle to fill them in.
Friendsgiving trivia (with answers)
- How many passengers sailed on the Mayflower in 1620? 102
- What's an adult male turkey called? A tom (or gobbler)
- What famous New York City parade first marched on Thanksgiving Day in 1924? The Macy's parade (first called the Macy's Christmas Parade)
- What's a female turkey called? A hen
Table games
- The gratitude toast: everyone shares one "thankful" and one "hope for next year."
- Wishbone bracket: run a pretend tournament of favorite side dishes, with the group voting each round.
A cozy corner for down time
Not everyone wants to compete. Set up a coloring corner with our free Thanksgiving sampler and pages from Pumpkin Patch Pals. It's adult coloring at its coziest. Add place cards from DIY Thanksgiving Crafts to finish the table.
